5.2. The fume hood works as a negative pressure ventilation system, where outside air is sucked through the operator into the cabinet with a centrifugal fan (DC centrifugal blower), flowing through the working area at a constant airflow velocity, and then exhausting the air contaminated with chemical fumes to the outside.
